I feel its a great tool. I started using it a month back and I guess its not complicated at all if one has a broader perspective on automation and is willing to work on one's programming skills.

As anywhere, there is a trade off. It would be difficult to get testers who do not like to do a bit of coding on any good automation tool.

We all know what long term headache goes into projects that use tools that work (or claim to work) as wonder wands to people with lesser skill (or those who don't wish to step and code), so I feel a serious automation engineer might give it a try as well.

Its a very handy tool for long term development framework. Also, it provides you an XPath framework of object recognition which is a splendid way of using it within the Visual Studio IDE.

The GUI object recognition is wonderful as well. Also, the environment is much more configurable on run time.

Checking out the advantages of the tool versus the price, a tool surely worth trying for.

As far as the phrase "difficult for beginners with automation" goes, I feel it will always be challenging to pick up any tool. If one argues that some tools provide very easy script creation and easy to use environment, I do feel its because of familiarity with the environment and that these things are quite good at a smaller scale. Feel that consultations with more experienced automation engineers though (not people with more number of years but people really experienced at doing good automation) would verify the same.

Even for the fresher though, i feel, it will be fruitful to take this "road less travelled by..."

Hi Guys,

I really failed working with Ranorex. It's more complicated for freshers and beginers of automation :(

However, it has very good image recognition
