Three fresh links – Free Flex Automation Tools

adobe_flex_logoI am preparing to review all the opensource Flex automation frameworks for now we have the three fresh links for three software worth to try.
Tools are based on Flex Automaiton API.

Flex Monkey
Provides record and replay features. Easy integrates with continuous integration process. Very promising.

Great for Ruby lovers, based on Watir experiences. FunFX is the result of an author master thesis at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Author blog is here.

Selenium Flash
This is a Selenium RC client driver. It uses JavaScript to invoke Action Script function. I’m little worry about that kind of flex automation.

If You have any other intresting flex automation tools links, please share !

  1. has anyone else able to get these stuff working?
    Flex Monkey:
very promising? it won’t even start record any flex session for me…

haven’t try yet, since watir + IE hasn’t been to successful for me.

    Selenium Flash:
with selenium-flex api v0.2.5, recording and playback works for me from Selenium IDE. But I don’t intent to run test from IDE, need to run from java test script, unable to get anything started from java test script, even sample provided java scripts can’t compile. help forum is very slow….
